Data Stored by SubLab
Subscription information that you add to SubLab is stored locally on your device. This information may include:
- subscription and service names;
- prices and currencies;
- start, renewal, expiration, and future payment dates;
- billing frequency;
- free trial information;
- auto-renewal settings;
- reminder settings;
- notes;
- custom icons or images, if such features are used;
- other details that you choose to add to a subscription.
SubLab does not use its own server to store this information, and the developer does not have access to the contents of your subscription database.
Your subscription data is intended to remain under your control. We do not sell it, use it for targeted advertising, or use it to build an advertising profile about you.
Local Data Storage
SubLab stores data locally on your device using Apple system technologies, including local application storage and, where applicable, Core Data or similar Apple-provided storage mechanisms.
While data remains local to your device, it is not transmitted to the SubLab developer. Deleting records inside the application or deleting the application itself may remove locally stored data in accordance with iOS behavior.
iCloud and CloudKit
If iCloud synchronization is available in your version of SubLab and you enable it, application data may also be stored and synchronized through your personal Apple account using iCloud and/or CloudKit.
iCloud storage and related infrastructure are operated by Apple. SubLab does not provide the developer with access to your personal iCloud account, Apple Account password, or Apple payment information.
Availability, storage, synchronization, backup, and deletion of iCloud data may depend on Apple policies, your account settings, available storage, internet connectivity, and the status of Apple services.
App Store Analytics
SubLab does not use its own third-party analytics SDK to track your activity inside the application. To understand application performance, we may use analytics and reports made available by Apple through App Store Connect.
Such information may include aggregated metrics relating to downloads, installations, active devices, sessions, crashes, purchases, and other statistics that Apple makes available to developers.
Some usage and diagnostic information is made available by Apple only in relation to users who have chosen to share diagnostics and usage information with app developers through Apple system settings.
We do not use this information to track you across apps or websites, and SubLab does not use third-party advertising networks.
Purchases and StoreKit
SubLab may use the Apple App Store and StoreKit to offer, process, verify, and restore in-app purchases and access rights to paid features.
Payments are processed by Apple. SubLab does not receive your bank card number, banking credentials, Apple Account password, or other complete payment information.
The application may receive technical purchase information from StoreKit that is necessary to determine purchase status and provide purchased features, such as product information, purchase type, and entitlement status.
Apple's processing of information is governed by Apple's own terms and privacy policies.
Exchange Rates and Frankfurter API
SubLab may request reference exchange rates from the Frankfurter service through api.frankfurter.dev.
SubLab sends only the technical parameters required to obtain an exchange rate, such as base and target currency codes. Your subscription database, notes, or full spending history do not need to be transmitted to Frankfurter in order to perform a currency conversion request.
Public API infrastructure may process standard technical information associated with a network request, such as an IP address and similar connection data, according to the infrastructure provider's own privacy practices.
Exchange rates are provided for informational purposes and may differ from the actual rate applied by a bank, payment provider, or individual transaction.
Notifications
SubLab may use local iOS notifications to remind you about payments, renewals, and the end of free trial periods.
Notification permission is controlled by you through iOS system settings. You can disable notifications for SubLab at any time.
Information needed to generate local notifications is processed on your device within the capabilities of iOS and does not require uploading your subscription database to a SubLab server.
Information You Voluntarily Send to Us
If you contact us by email or another support channel, we receive the information you voluntarily provide. This may include your email address, name, message content, attachments, and technical information you choose to include.
We use this information only to respond to your request, provide support, review feedback, resolve technical issues, or fulfill another purpose clearly associated with your request.
We do not use support communications for advertising profiling and do not sell them to third parties.
Third-Party Services
Depending on the features and version of SubLab, the following third-party services may be used:
- Apple App Store / StoreKit — purchase processing, purchase restoration, and entitlement verification;
- Apple iCloud / CloudKit — optional data synchronization through your Apple account, if such a feature is available and enabled;
- Apple App Store Connect Analytics — aggregated statistics and diagnostic information made available by Apple to developers;
- Frankfurter API — obtaining reference exchange rates.
Each third-party provider may process technical information in accordance with its own terms and privacy policy. We aim to use only services that are necessary for application functionality and do not provide them with your subscription data unless necessary for a specific function.
No Advertising or Cross-App Tracking
SubLab does not use your subscription data for advertising. We do not sell or rent your personal data.
SubLab does not track your activity across apps and websites owned by other companies for advertising or advertising-profile purposes.
If our data practices materially change, this Privacy Policy and the privacy information provided in the App Store will be updated before or together with the relevant change where required by applicable law or Apple policies.
Third-Party Trademarks and Logos
SubLab may use names, colors, logos, and other identifiers of popular subscription services to identify services and provide a familiar visual presentation.
All trademarks, trade names, and logos remain the property of their respective owners.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, use of such identifiers does not mean that the relevant companies are affiliated with SubLab, sponsor the application, endorse it, or are partners of SubLab.
Legal Bases for Processing
Where applicable law requires a legal basis for processing, the relevant basis depends on the type of information and the purpose for which it is processed.
- Providing application functionality. Local processing of subscription data, reminders, calculations, and purchase verification is necessary to provide functions that you request when using SubLab.
- Consent. Where a feature requires your permission, such as notifications or Apple's system-level sharing of analytics information, processing may depend on your choice and system settings.
- Legitimate interests. Where permitted by law, we may process support communications that you voluntarily send to us for security, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, and improving the application.
- Legal obligations. In limited circumstances, processing may be necessary to comply with mandatory legal requirements.
Your Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, including the GDPR for users in the European Economic Area, you may have rights regarding your personal data.
These rights may include the right to:
- request access to personal data that we actually hold about you;
- correct inaccurate personal data;
- request deletion of personal data;
- restrict or object to certain processing where provided by law;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- request data portability where applicable;
- lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority.
Most subscription information is stored only on your device and, if enabled, in your personal Apple iCloud account. Because the SubLab developer does not have access to this information, you manage and delete it directly through SubLab, your device, or Apple's iCloud controls.
If you wish to exercise a right relating to information that we can actually identify and control, such as support correspondence, please contact us using the details below.
Deleting Your Data
Subscription data stored locally can be deleted directly within SubLab. Deleting the application will also generally remove local application data from your device, except for data that may be separately stored or synchronized through Apple system services.
If iCloud synchronization is enabled, some data may remain in your Apple iCloud account according to Apple's storage mechanisms and settings. Such data is managed through the application, your device, and Apple tools available to you.
To request deletion of information that you voluntarily sent to us through support and that we can identify, contact vadym.develop@gmail.com.
Data Retention
Local subscription data remains on your device until you delete the relevant records, application data, or the application itself.
Data synchronized through iCloud may remain in your Apple account until you delete it or as otherwise determined by Apple's storage mechanisms and policies.
Information contained in support communications is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, resolve an issue, maintain appropriate records, protect security, or comply with applicable legal obligations.
App Store Analytics data and reports are stored and processed by Apple according to Apple's policies and are available to us only in the form and for the period provided through App Store Connect.
Security
We aim to minimize the amount of information accessible to us and, where possible, rely on Apple system security and local storage rather than maintaining our own server-side subscription database.
However, no method of electronic storage, data transmission, or software system can guarantee absolute security.
You are also responsible for the security of your device, Apple Account, passcode, backups, and other access credentials.
Children
SubLab is not specifically designed to collect personal data from children, and we do not knowingly request personal information from children for advertising or profiling purposes.
Where applicable law requires parental or guardian consent for the use of certain features or processing of personal data, those requirements must be followed.
If you believe that personal information relating to a child has been sent directly to us without an appropriate legal basis, please contact us so that we can review the request.
International Data Processing
Some third-party providers, including Apple or infrastructure used by third-party APIs, may process technical information in countries other than your country of residence.
Such processing is carried out by the relevant provider under its own terms, data-protection safeguards, and applicable law.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example when SubLab features, third-party services, Apple requirements, or applicable laws change.
The current version will be published on this page, and the “Last updated” date at the top of the page will be revised.
If a change materially affects the processing of personal data, we will take any additional steps required by applicable law, including providing notice or obtaining consent where necessary.
